At the mercy of the next seizure
The Epilepsy challenge

Epilepsy is a neurological disorder marked by recurrent, unpredictable seizures caused by abnormal brain activity. These seizures can disrupt a person’s physical, emotional, and social well-being. In low-income countries like Uganda, the challenges of living with epilepsy are often intensified by limited resources, stigma, and lack of awareness. Seizure Support exists to empower Persons With Epilepsy (PWE) to take control of their condition. Our mission is to help them manage seizures effectively, access proper care, and reclaim a normal, dignified life through education, support systems, and a strong sense of community.

The power of our testimony

Who We Are

At Seizure Support, we believe the most powerful advocates for epilepsy are those who have lived through it. From our founder—who has managed epilepsy for over 15 years—to our dedicated ground team of caregivers, family members, and friends of Persons With Epilepsy, every member of our community carries a personal story. These lived experiences form the heart of our mission. We call it the power of our testimony. It’s this firsthand understanding that drives us to offer compassionate, informed, and authentic support to those walking the same journey, helping others realize they are not alone.

What We Do

The Epilepsy Management Guide is a free download that empowers Persons With Epilepsy, their families, and caregivers with practical strategies for seizure control, medication, and lifestyle management.

The Patient Portal is a free, secure online system designed for Persons With Epilepsy across the world. It empowers each individual to create a personalized Patient Profile on their own terms.

Our goal is to break the barriers of stigma and misinformation through Sensitization & Awareness. We replace harmful beliefs and practices and promote treatment and compassion.
